                                      1. Why jaipur is called pink city.?

It is believed that during the rule of Maharaja Sawai Ram Singh, Jaipur was painted pink to welcome the Prince of Wales during his tour of India in 1876. This was because pink was said to denote the colour of hospitality. A law was later passed directing all buildings in the area to be painted the same colour.




2. Why is Jaisalmer called the Golden City?
 
In reality, 'Jaisalmer' means “the Hill Fort of Jaisal”. Jaisalmer is sometimes called the       “Golden City of India” because the yellow sand and the yellow sandstone used in every         architecture of the city gives a yellowish-golden tinge to the city and its surrounding area.



3.Why Amber Fort is famous?

The Amer Fort, situated in Amber, 11 kilometers from Jaipur, is one of the most famous        forts of Rajasthan. ... The Amer Fort has influences of both Hindu and Muslim architecture. This fort also has the 'Shila Devi' Temple and the 'Ganesh Pol' which is a gate that leads to the private palaces of the kings.



4. Why is Chittorgarh famous?

Chittorgarh used to be the capital of the Sisodia Dynasty of Mewar. Famous for the Jauhar that Rani Padmini and Rani Karnavati underwent during siege, the Chittorgarh Fort has seen a lot of valiant battles. The fort is the largest one in India, and attracts tourist in a large number throughout the year.


5. Laxmangarh Fort

Laxman Singh, the Raja of Sikar, built the fort in the early 19th century after Kan Singh       Saledhi besieged the prosperous town. The fort of Laxmangarh is one of the most unique  pieces of fort architecture in the world, because the structure is built on top of scattered pieces of huge rocks.

There are many mansions in Laxmangarh, namely the Sawant Ram Chokhani Haveli, Bansidhar Rathi Haveli, Sanganeria Haveli, Mirijamal Kyala Haveli, Char Chowk Haveli and Kedia Haveli. There is famous temple, i.e. The Radhi Murlimanohar temple, constructed in 1845 and embellished with beautiful sculptures and frescos. There are numerous Haveli’s in the town, namely the The Radhi Murlimanohar temple, constructed in 1845, is popular for the beautiful sculptures of deities on the wall.
